Dry stored from day 1, meticulously maintained and fully serviced, she features a 2012 Mercruiser 5.7L V8 petrol engine on 2012 Bravo 1 outdrive for over 50 mph performance. Seating for 5 and a cuddy cabin that can sleep 2 with concealed chemical toilet.
The Shakespeare 650 power boat is part of the classic British Shakespeare speed boat lineage, originally designed by William Shakespeare (not the playwright, but a powerboat racer!). Shakespeare raced powerboats from 1960 until 1971, when he tragically passed away while practicing for the Windermere Grand Prix. The Shakespeare boat company went through several ownership changes and challenges, including oil crises, before collapsing around 1978. However, the brand was later revived, and new models—including the Shakespeare 650—were introduced in the 1990s. The 650 Mk2 version is considered a rare and special classic British powerboat, with only seventeen ever made and just two featuring this big engine option.
The early Shakespeare 650 was based on a Mike Ring design, featuring prominent spray rails at the bow, while the Mk2 version was a completely new design. If you're interested in seeing one up close, we have it here at Cobbs Quay ready to view and reserve, 7 days a week.
